Northern Kentucky Landmarks

P297

Probably one of the most recognizable landmarks in Northern Kentucky and certainly one of the most controversial. A small contingent of locals believe the improper grammar labels the area as redneck. I grew up saying y'all and I'm proud to be at "the top of the south" in Northern Kentucky. Did you know the tower was originally supposes to say Florence Mall? The water tower was constructed long before excavation even started for the already approved mall. When the tower stated "Florence Mall" there was mass confusion from out of towners passing by on I-75. People were exiting the expressway and driving around looking for the mall. So, part of the M was painted over. the apostrophe was added and it was so popular it remains after 35 years.
